How I quit working through my emails and have kept my inbox at zero for years

I opened my Outlook, and there were 167 emails staring back at me. It was so frustrating, as before my one week of training, I had kept my Outlook manageable for a five weeks straight. And now: Back to square one. I knew that they would start piling up again - and that I'd be too late on my ad-hoc reports and not informed when speaking to my boss. I HATED this.A few weeks later, a colleague came back from their holiday. I stood there when she opened her Outlook and saw the 235 unread emails. She also made a short remark about how annoying that was. But over the week I distinctively noticed her being well-informed and replying to current emails without any issue. And when I went to ask her, I saw it: Her inbox was empty! She told me about this "GTD" book that she once read. At first, I was sceptical - but I tried it. For the next two weeks, I spent a lot more time than usually with my emails. I defined rules and elaborated on what she told me. And then, without even noticing it: My inbox stayed empty. It was incredible: In just a few days I had gone from "chronically overwhelmed by my emails" to "easily ontop of Outlook" - and with seemingly no effort.I realized that if I could do this, so could you. You don’t need to be drowning in emails one day longer, you can get rid of the problem right now. I'll show you my GTD-based system, and it'll feel like it will do all the work for you!
